A paradise for every fisherman
The Hieren Mühle is located directly on the Ehrbach. This meanders for about 20 kilometres through the front Hunsrück through woods and fields towards the Moselle. It forms the inflow and outflow of the ten private fish ponds of the Hieren Mühle.
As an enthusiastic angler, a special highlight awaits you. For you as our hotel guest at the Hieren Mühle country inn, fishing is free.
Only the large, ageing fish must be put back. You may keep smaller fish. You can then prepare your catch yourself, for example, on the fire plate in the outdoor area of the hotel complex.

Treat yourself to some time out in the middle of greenery. Surrounded by forests, meadows, the Ehrbach stream and ponds rich in fish.
The Hieren Mühle has a total of around 10,000 square metres of water in the immediate vicinity of the house. Here you will find a stocking of trout, zander, carp and eel, among others. If you book in advance, we will be happy to adjust the stocking of the pond to individual wishes for the experienced angler.
Fishing under guidance
As the fishing ponds are private, guided fishing is also possible for hotel guests without an official fishing licence. The Hieren Mill provides basic equipment for this purpose. And after the catch, the fish can be prepared and processed for consumption freshly caught directly in the hotel’s own smokehouse, on the fire plate outside or in the kitchen.
