The Hieren Mill

It all began in the 18th century…

The Hieren Mill was built at the source of the Ehrbach in the middle of the 18th century. It was in operation as an oil mill until the 1930s. In the course of the following years, the building was rebuilt several times. Among other things, it was run as an inn/guesthouse “Tannenheim” with a restaurant and garden terrace and repeatedly expanded.

2019 – 2020: Modernisation and renovation

In 2019, Ingrid Kochem acquired the property and completed the modernisation of the guest rooms as well as the rooms for hospitality, terrace and multi-purpose room in 2020. In the course of this renovation, a holiday flat with three bedrooms and common rooms was created.

Today, the country inn has a covered and heated terrace. Guests can find a cosy spot in the self-service beer garden or dine in the restaurant.

A look into the future

Among other things, a playground for children, more parking spaces for caravans, an outdoor shower facility and much more are currently being built at the Hieren Mühle.

The Hieren Mühle invites you to stay and relax in many ways. At the same time, the country inn is an ideal starting point for day trips and tours in the entire Rhine-Moselle region.
